Logos & Wordmarks
Marks and letters can have an immediate impact, instantly evoking an emotional response or sparking a memory. We’ve worked with clients across a wide range of industries to distill their goals, visions, and values into cohesive, self-evident signs.
Clever Creative is a female-owned strategy and brand agency based in Los Angeles. A+ worked with Clever to develop a suite of wordmarks as part of a new identity made by their design team.
Na Na Thai serves Bangkok street food in the Santa Ynez Valley. We designed a bold sans serif logo for the restaurant. The Other Room in Los Olivos is a beer and wine bar. We created two circular monograms for The Other Room—one shows the full name while the other just contains the bar’s initials. Both are Companion Hospitality properties, like Bell’s and Bar Le Côte.
Foxy’s is a deli and bagelry food cart concept located in Santa Barbara and based on a family-owned restaurant that once existed in Las Vegas. We updated the old wordmark from the restaurant and created a few illustrations as well.
Typography is an efficient and meaningful way to build heritage. We resurrected structural type for The D.R. Evarts Library and The Stewart House, providing a new way for the institutions to leverage their history. Similarly, we made custom typography for Ghurka based on the metal type that was used on their original leather bags.
